Architectural Panels

Minsterstone has been tackling several new projects throughout the year and business has been very good.

At the end of 2010 we manufactured 116 columns for a project in Greenwich and finished delivery of these in January 2011. A photo of these columns is on our Architectural page.

At the same time we were making column sections for the Premier Inn in Preston which were installed in December 2010.

Throughout 2011 we have been involved in large projects for Durkan Contractors in London, Pochin Plc. on behalf of Liberty plc., Midas in Exeter on behalf of John Lewis with Land Securities. All currently in manufacture and/or installation with our sub contract installation team.

We are also involved in a couple of residential schemes in London run by Westgreen Construction and John Paul Construction. Some of this work involves granite faced precast panels.

We have been pleased to have a working partnership with the highly regarded designer Wolfgang Buttress and have completed two unique projects; one a long façade in a unique design to a reception desk in Nottingham and the other some 4 tonne concrete eggs for Bradford that have been installed to great acclaim. The task required us to cast the concrete in different colours to achieve a striated effect.

New exciting projects are coming to fruition in Oxford and City of London. More about these when they are in progress.

Minsterstone offers a complete subcontract service for precast cladding providing, design, manufacture and installation of the units.

We have exhibited at the Homebuilding and Renovating show at the NEC gaining many new projects for residential work in sills, heads, string and cornice courses along with paving , coping and balustrading.

Fireplaces

We also exhibited at the Hearth and Home Exhibition at Harrogate in June establishing new outlets for our fireplaces. We have made fireplaces for over 100 years and there is no better fireplace on the market in which to burn solid fuel. Our traditional fireplaces have big open hearths which are also ideal for the installation of stand alone stoves.

Garden Ornaments

Our Garden Ornaments have done very well over the summer months and all of these are of course frost proof which is very important in view of the harder winters we now experience. We have many designs in vases, seats, urns, birdbaths and sundials. All available to purchase on our website at attractive prices.
